IκBα is a cellular protein that actually function as to inhibit the transcription factor NF-κB. It blocked the nuclear localization signals and masks the NF-κB and due to this it remains inactive state in the cytoplasm. Apart form this, IκBα masks the ability of NF-κB to bind to DNA, which is essential for NF-κB's proper functioning. Here we checked the time course effect of NF-kB phosphorylation by chemoattractant.
