Company:

MilliporeSigma

Product Name:

Acetic Acid (glacial), 100%

Catalog Number:

1000660250

We bought the Glacial acetic acid because it is 100% water-free acid, so it is more concentrated. I used the reagent within the Sulforhodamine B (SRB) assay, used for cell density determination. The dye is removed by washing repeatedly with 1% (vol/vol) Acetic acid. It always works well.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Cell viability assay - dye washing steps.

Starting Material

Fixed cells stained with the dye Sulforhodamine B (SRB).

Tips

Store at room temperature > 17 °C - 25°C (lower temperatures can freeze the solution).
