I used this antibody to analyze the maturation from naïve to effector T cells in C57BL/6 in various experiments. Cells were isolated from different organs, for example the spleen and the brain.

Results Summary

CD27 may be expressed on many T cells and can be used to analyze maturation status of T cells. Accordingly, if analyzing multiple T cell markers, a fluorochrome not inducing a lot of spillover is preferable for this marker. I got a great resolution with this FITC antibody; at the same time, FTIC does not require a lot of compensation into other channels, maintaining resolution for other markers. I was able to use this antibody at a concentration of 1:200, allowing me to stain a large number of samples with a single tube, making the experiment cost effective. I would recommend this antibody.
