We do CyTOF and flow cytometry studies for some of our experiments. This kit allows us to personally custom conjugate several antibodies of our interest to metals.

Water bath is used for a lot of steps (loading, antibody reduction, antibody conjugation).

Results Summary

We are able to conjugate antibodies for immune cell phenotyping across a wide range of isotopes. These antibodies light up properly during CyTOF analyses. Pretty reliable and consistent results over several biological replicates.

Summary

The Good

Allows us to personally tailor our metals to antibodies of interest. Less than half day of workflow.

The Bad

Needs a separate Amicon ultra filter unit for antibody retrieval.

The Bottom Line

Metal conjugation for a wide range of metals (lanthanide series). Workflow is pretty straightforward, although the retrieval can get a bit tricky due to Amicon handling.
