Antibodies are produced by plasma cells (PC) that are terminally differentiated B cells and play crucial roles in host protection against infections but are considered to mediate autoimmunity in patients with rheumatic diseases, such as systemic lupus (SLE) or rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Our research aims at understanding the biology of B cells and antibody-secreting cells (ASC) in health and disease, but in this experiment, we were looking for a good anti-CD4 to stain T cells.

Results Summary

Usually, we were looking for surface markers that are differentially expressed by B cells (CD19+) and plasma cells (PC). But now we also want to be test if this markers are expressed in CD4 T cells. Here, we tested a anti-CD4 that we can combine with our established panel. This antibody is good to stain CD4+ T cells.
