The aim of the study was to test the time course effect of a specific growth factor on CXCL1 protein levels in mouse primary cells. The growth-arrested and growth synchronized cells were time-dependently treated without or with a growth factor, extracted proteins, and its equal amounts were resolved by 13% SDS-PAGE. The resolved proteins were then immunoblotted with a CXCL1 antibody. The selection of antibody was based on the information provided in the antibody flyer.

Enhanced chemiluminescent detection in X-Ray film
A specific band of CXCL1 was detected by the Abcam antibody. The intensity of the specific band was weak. A very dark nonspecific band was also detected. No time-Dependent increase in CXCL1 protein was observed after growth factor treatment.
