As a cancer immunology lab, we study exhaustion and survival in T cells within the tumor microenvironment. Eomes is a transcription factor that influences exhaustion differentiation. Expression of this indicates highly dysfunctional T cells or a stem like population hence we analyze expression of this TF in our flow cytometry experiments.
