Ultramicroscope II Works Great

We have been using the Miltenyi Light Sheet Fluorescence Microscopes for the past 5 years, and have found the Ultramicroscope II (equipped with the Zoombody) an excellent piece of equipment for acquiring good images for whole organ specimens. We regularly immunostain, optically clear and image different organ types such as liver, lung, embryo, and human skin specimens. Acquisition is rapid, and the sCMOS camera provides 16-bit depth data which gives a broad dynamic range for staining of different intensities. The Zoombody immersion lens also ensures an optimal lightpath for excellent imaging data. Some time has to be spent on aligning the lasers on a weekly or biweekly basis, but this gets easier with practice. The only issues we have so far are some bugs with the software which has been mitigated by excellent technical support by the Miltenyi Biotec (Singapore) team.
