I study skin immunity activated in response to vector bites. My specific goals are to identify common signaling pathways involved on skin immunity that are activated in response to the main vector of disease to establish potential targets for therapeutical interventions to VBDs. We expose mouse skin to bites of sand flies, mosquitoes and ticks and we evaluate by western-blot or proteome membrane arrays, alterations on protein levels of molecular targets.
