CYTB belongs to the cytochrome b family. It is a component of the ubiquinol-cytochrome c reductase complex (complex III or cytochrome b-c1 complex). The mitochondrial cytochrome b is fundamental for the assembly and function of Complex III of the mitochondrial respiratory chain. The transfer of electrons then contributes to the generation of a proton gradient across the mitochondrial membrane that is then used for ATP synthesis. In this study we checked the time course effect of CYB by chemoattractant.
