The bands of the 10 well gels are always excellent. When our lab has less samples to run and want better quality of the band, we would always use the 10-well gels because it looks the most even.

Make sure to flush each well 3 times before loading samples otherwise you will lose your samples.

Whenever we want to re-run gels that look like publication quality, we would always use the 10 well because it has the best consistent quality without running into the problem of having "U" shape bands

You should buy this if you need to compare less samples or load more volumes. The 10 wells can hold up to 26uL safely without splashing out samples therefore it is useful when you have low concentration protein.
