Western Blot
Purified mitochondria extracts from HeLa
1:2000 overnight incubation at 4ºC, in 5% BSA diluted TBS+Tween (0.25%)
10% non-fat milk in TBS+Tween (0.25%) for 10 min
1:20000, 1 h incubation at room temperature in 5% non-fat milk diluted TBS+Tween (0.25%)
Washed three times with TBS+Tween (0.25%) for 3 min each.
HRP-based chemiluminescent immunoblotting and x-ray film
This antibody works very well to detect endogenous VDAC1 in cells, and it is also possible to detect ubiquitylated forms of the protein upon mitochondrial depolarization and activation of the PINK1/Parkin pathway

This antibody works great and has been very useful for my research. I'd recommend it, to immuno detect the endogenous unmodifed and Ub-modified form of VDAC.
