Catalase is known as a scavenger of hydrogen peroxide. Here we report its scavenger activity against peroxynitrite. We used SIN-1 (20 microM) to generate peroxynitrite. Addition of catalase (10 nM) resulted in inhibition of peroxynitrite-mediated APF fluorescence.
