Company:

Thermo Fisher Scientific

Product Name:

ProLong Gold antifade mountant

Catalog Number:

P10144

The ProLong Gold antifade mountant is great for mounting cells onto slides for immunocytochemistry (immunofluorescence). I have not had issues with fluorescence maintenance over time as can be apparent with other mounting reagents. It is stored at room temperature and thus is ready to use. No mixing is required.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Immunocytochemistry (Immunofluorescence)

Starting Material

Human breast cancer cells

Tips

Use a pipet to measure 4 uL of reagent for standard coverslip. Be careful not to use too much reagent otherwise it will seep out of coverslip area.

Results Summary

Intracellular fluorescence was visible in the human breast cancer cells without loss even weeks after first visualization using confocal microscopy.
