NuAire

Product Name:

AutoFlow 8600 Dual Chamber Water Jacket Laboratory CO2 Incubator

Catalog Number:

NU-8600

I purchased the NUAIRE NU-8600 water-jacketed incubator stack 2 years ago to replace my aging Thermo stack. I'm so glad that I switched. The NUAIRE incubators have multiple sensors that are working to control the environment in the chamber. The CO2 sensor is connected to two CO2 tanks and can automatically switch from one tank to the other when one is empty. This feature has saved us so much trouble. Also the alarm is not as annoying as the alarms on other CO2 incubators. The two chambers are completely independent from each other but they cannot be separated, and the HEPA filter is located in the top service panel (near the sensors) and does not hang inside the chambers, so this design saves important chamber space. I would highly recommend purchasing this model with the auto-switching mechanism.

Summary

The Good

The Bottom Line

Cell culture is expensive, so it's worth it to pay a little more to have incubators you trust to stay working.
