Male albino rats were fed with or without a high quantity of fat (42%) in the diet for 3 months to induce atherosclerotic lesions. Rats fed with standard chow were taken as control. After 3 months of treatments, rats were sacrificed, the aorta was harvested, protein extracts were prepared, and equal amounts of proteins were resolved in 10% SDS-PAGE. After that, resolved proteins were immunoblotted for detection of pJNK1+pJNK2+pJNK3 levels. Antibody selection was based on information provided in antibody flyer, and it showed excellent reactivity.

Abacm pJNK1/2/3 antibody gave a very specific band for pJNK1 and pJNK3 in protein samples belonging to the treatment group. However, very faint signals of pJNK2 at 54 kDa were detected. As a result, proteins from treatment group rats showed a high level of pJNK1/3 phosphorylation as compared to protein samples from control group rats.
