Alexa Fluor 700 anti-rat CD90/mouse CD90.1 (Thy-1.1) Antibody

Catalog Number:

To analyze cell-intrinsic properties of certain proteins, we routinely perform adoptive transfer experiments of congenically different transgenic T cells (CD90.1) into WT B6 (CD90.2) mice upon infection. By staining for CD90.1 and CD8 expression, we are able to distinguish transferred cells from host CD8 T cells. This a great antibody that is really bright.

Murine transgenic T-cells during an infection

Primary Incubation

1:2000 in FACS buffer for surface staining

Blocking Agent

FC block 100 µg/mL in FACS buffer

Secondary Incubation

Results Summary

We are able to detect the adoptively transferred cells from the host CD8 T cells. The population is quite distinct.

Summary

The Good

Really bright antibody and good dilution saves antibody usage over time.

The Bad

Can be tricky and too bright if not titrated for cell conditions.

The Bottom Line

Easily the best antibody for congenic staining.
