The antibody was used to determine whether a purification protocol for a sumo-his tagged amyloid beta 42 had been able to isolate the final purified abeta42 product without the sumo-his tag. The western blot we performed showed that we were not able to fully isolate the amyloid beta from its tag even though we had managed to cleave the tag from the amyloid beta.
Used at 1/2000 in 4% BSA in TBST
Good detection on our first try. No optimization was required.
No downsides.
I would recommend this antibody for anyone who needs to detect polyhistidine.
