Western blots have been one of the most common techniques for quantifying protein expression in a biological sample. Although most WB procedures take 1–2 days to perform, nowadays companies provide reagents that can speed up the process and provide more consistent results. Here, I utilize the Bio-Rad Precision Plus Protein Ladder, and it works very well.
WB
N/A
Loaded 4–5 µl of the ladder per well on various 10-, 12-, or 17-well gels.
4 µl is sufficient per well of a gel
The ladder offers two convenient red bands at 70 kDa and 25 kDa. The ladder is clearly visible on the gel and after transfer on the PVDF.
Dual staining ladder
Great ladder for any WB user!
