My aim is too screen a population to identify the mutated gene. My experiment involves in development of lines with mutant genes. I have crossed two plants one with normal gene and other is mutated and then screened the population for identification of the mutated gene. the targeted gene as sites for the enzyme Hpy188I. so i purchased this product.

I used 1 unit of this enzyme for 5 reaction. Each reaction is of 10ul volume, having 100-500 nano grams of amplified sequence.

Tips

I advise to incubate more than 16 hours for clear band separation

Some time is needed to add BSA for optimum function

The Bottom Line

The product is good and very handy. I have used the same vial for more than two years and still the enzyme is stable for more than 2 years.
