The research group mainly focuses on DNA damage and repair. Part of our studies involves using a transgenic animal model. This involves regular genotyping so we can use the right animal for the studies. It is very important that we have a PCR machine that is accurate for some very temperamental PCR. Efficient and accurate.

The Good

1.Touch screen is user friendly. 2. Brilliantly quiet machine. You can never tell if it is working or not. 3. Multiblock so can be used by 3 different users with different programs at the same time

The Bad

The screen could have been little more brighter but that is a personal preference. No gradient capacity

The Bottom Line

Brilliant machine; a workhorse; very quiet and a small machine when compared to other multiblock machines
