KLRG1 Monoclonal Antibody (2F1), PE-eFluor 610

Catalog Number:

We are an immunology lab studying CD8 T cell memory differentiation. KLRG1 is a hallmark marker to identify terminal effector CD8+ T cells. We performed adoptive transfer in vivo experiments, and harvest spleens during the acute response of infection. I used this antibody in my T cell panel to identify memory precursors along with terminal effector T cells. I chose this product since it fit well in my 12 color panel using the BD celesta analyzer. Invitrogen was one of the few vendors offering this marker with this particular unique clone.

Applications

Flow Cytometry

Sample

Murine Splenocytes

Primary Incubation

1:1000, 30 minutes, 4 deg in 2% FCS/PBS

Blocking Agent

FC block cells before surface panel staining

Secondary Incubation

N/A

Tertiary Incubation

Detection

Flow Cytometer

Results Summary

We were able to readily identify KLRG1+CD8+ T cells from the spleen. The percent of KLRG1+ population told us effector status of the cells.

Additional Notes

Please titrate antibody since it's quite bright! Make sure your compensation control is the same flourchrome since emission spectrum of tandem is unique.

Summary

The Good

Very robust and bright antibody to identify KLRG1+ cells.

The Bad

None what so ever

The Bottom Line

Great antibody at a great price since we use it very diluted. Very reliable indeed!
