My goal was to analyze the expression of a number of secreted proteins in the brains of mice. Therefore this protease inhibitor was selected to be added to the homogenization buffer to reduce the proteases and thus protect the proteins during the extraction process

I followed the manufacturers protocol and added 1 mini tablet to 10 ml of PBS. 1 ml of the mixture was then used to homogenize the corpus callosum.

Dissolve the tablet quickly by vortexing
