Product Name:

Brilliant Violet 510™ anti-mouse CD90.2 Antibody

Catalog Number:

105335

We selected this antibody to detect T cells expressing the Thy1.2 congenic markers in our mixed bone marrow chimeras. Given that the Thy markers are known to be expressed at a high level on T cells, we decided to pair the Thy1.2 marker with a medium-bright fluorochrome such as BV 510.

Results Summary

Shown here is a titration performed on splenocytes from 1:100 to 1:1600. The antibody gives some background staining at 1:100-1:200 but improves from 1:400 to 1:1600. Based on the histogram plots and calculations for signal to noise ratios, we decided to use 1:400 for all our subsequent experiments.

Summary

The Good

Very bright, good separation between positive and negative populations.

The Bad

Negative population is pretty spread out. Significant spillover into BV605/SB600 channel.

The Bottom Line

Good antibody. Use caution when designing staining panel. Do take into account the significant spillover into the BV605/SB600 channel.
