Our lab studies vessel growth in the mouse retina. We like to stain for other cells as well and need a good fluorescent vessel marker.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Immunofluorescence

Starting Material

Mouse retina cells

Protocol Overview

Mouse retina was fixed with 10 formalin over night at 4 degrees. After washing with PBS, retinas were incubated with the antibody in staining buffer (1:200) for 2 hours at room temperature in staining buffer (or over night at 4 degrees Celsius).

Tips

Do not stain longer than 2 hours at room temperature to avoid high background

Results Summary

Using this antibody we are able to successfully visualize vessel growth in the mouse retina and it does not cause much spillover in other channels.
