We have a large lab and need to store many biological samples. This freezer has more capacity than our old freezer did and the temperature is more reliable.
To keep biological samples (frozen sections, cytokines, cells, viruses, etc) frozen and stable.
Frozen samples
Add samples quickly to freezer and leave door closed until it returns to correct temperature. Don't keep door open too long or risk a temperature rise. Only add a few room temperature samples to freezer at a time.
Get the corresponding metal racks that fit perfectly inside
This freezer keeps a stable temperature and holds over 500 1 inch freezer boxes. The alarm is loud, but can be silenced if the door is open too long and the temperature starts to rise. Once the door is closed, the freezer is able to return to the correct temperature relatively quickly. We are able to reliably keep many different types of samples frozen in this freezer without fear of a thaw.
An extra set of doors inside to help keep cold air inside, and allows you to only completely open half the freezer at a time.

Great temperature stability

This is a great -80 freezer. It holds more boxes than our old freezer that was the same size and has much better temperature control than two other freezers that we have.
