Company:

Boster

Product Name:

Anti-CD10/Neprilysin Antibody

Catalog Number:

PB9058

We selected this product as a polyclonal ab for our Tg Rat colony. We are interested in adding enzymatic catabolism/clearance of amyloid beta isoforms into our body of research. We purchased this product because it was cheap and we are looking at some 'proof-of-concept' and didn't need remarkable specificity. We still have much to investigate.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Applications

Western Blot

Sample

Rat PFC

Primary Incubation

Several, to determine optimal protocol (1:25-1:100).

Blocking Agent

Protein simple proprietary "antibody diluent II'

Secondary Incubation

Anti rat, 1:150

Tertiary Incubation

None

Detection

Protein Simple, Simple Western size-based assay

Results Summary

This antibody produced several bands, the most prominent of which occurred at about 75kDa (supposedly our protein of interest), a dual band around ~50kDa, and a dimmer, but present band at around 32kDa. There was a large amount of smearing from 230 to the 75kDa mark.

Additional Notes

The images represent the ab at 1:25 in increasing protein concentrations. Secondary ab at 1:150
