Company:

Abcam

Product Name:

Anti-KIF15

Catalog Number:

AB90735

The purpose of this study was evaluation of KIF15 expression across a number of cell lines. We purchased 6-7 antibodies targeting KIF15 to optimize for use in Western blotting, immunofluorescence, etc. This antibody was chosen for convenience (order a lot from Abcam) and price.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Applications

Western Blot

Sample

Cancer cell line lysates

Primary Incubation

1:1000 in 5% milk in TBS-T, overnight at 4 degrees C, on a rocker

Blocking Agent

5% milk in TBS-T

Secondary Incubation

1:2500 - 1:5000, anti-RB in 5% milk in TBS-T, 30 minutes at room temp, on a rocker

Tertiary Incubation

NA

Detection

HRP Chemiluminescence

Results Summary

Bands were observed in some lines, however, the bands were at 40 kDa and the size of KIF15 is 160 kDa. Use of other antibodies reveals bands of varying intensity in each cell line at 160 kDa, suggesting that this antibody recognizes a protein that is not KIF15.
