An Excellent Alternative to the Mouse anti-NeuN Antibodies

This antibody works very well and provides a good signal to noise ratio. Its pattern of staining is equivalent to the monoclonal mouse anti NeuN antibodies that our lab has used for immunofluorescent histology. For immunofluorescent histology, this antibody works well as a general staining marker for neuronal cells. Although not every neuron will express NeuN, most of the neurons in our brain regions of interest do (mouse brainstem neurons). Adding this antibody to our collection has given us more flexibility for co-staining combinations where use of two different mouse antibodies at the same time was impractical.
