Our laboratory is interested in regulation of autoreactive T cells in the context of autoimmunity and tolerance induction. We often use OTII mice that are transgenic mice expressing the mouse alpha-chain and beta-chain T cell receptor (Va2/Vb5) that pairs with the CD4 coreceptor and is specific for chicken ovalbumin 323-339 in the context of I-A b. For phenotyping of these mice we commonly use the PE anti-mouse TCR Vb5.1, 5.2 antibody

Results Summary

Bright and specific staining of transgenic T cells (CD4+Vb5+). In OTII mice more than 90% of T cells are Vb5+. Wild-type mice commonly have 10% or less Vb5+CD4+ T cells.
