PCNA is expressed in the nucleus of all proliferating cells. It has been used as a marker for proliferation (represented by DNA synthesis). Our lab uses this antibody to assess the amount of proliferation in human tumor sections that we receive from surgery. This information is vital, as whatever analysis is done, it needs to be adjusted by the proliferative capacity of the tumors. Remember: not all cancers are equal!

Results Summary

The results shown in the photo are typical of the high quality results we get from this antibody! Green cells are PCNA-positive (proliferating). DAPI (blue) is used to stain nuclei. Quantification is easy when the staining is so clean!
