We study the expression of a parasite specific protein in different stages during cell growth. This protein is unique to prokaryotes and to a small amount of eukaryotes. Within different stages(log to stationary), the protein expression will be changed significantly.

I had to detect a protein with a very low abundance. It was easily degraded and hard to manipulate. I tried mouse anti-HA, rabbit anti-HA, none of them gave satisfactory results. But this one did!

Results Summary

With 1:1000 dilution, there is no background at all. Even though my protein concentration is low, and although it took longer than 10 min to expose it, but still there was no background, no ugly band. I had a very sharp piece of band in the correct size.

The endogenous protein level is extremely low, so I accept to have a faint band. Most importantly, it is clean.
