Maintaining cells for live cell imaging presents unique challenges not necessarily present with other imaging techniques. In addition to the usual procedures necessary for culturing cells, special consideration must be given to the types of vessels, media and labeling methods used. This phase will focus on materials and techniques to ensure optimum sample conditions throughout the imaging process.
