Cell viability was quantified using the MTS assay, and percentage cell viabilities were expressed against that of 10% DMSO. A higher concentration (1800.87 vs 1250.43 pg/mL) of active caspase-3 could be detected when cryopreserved ADSCs were cultured with 10% DMSO compared to 0.75 M trehalose.
