Product Characteristics: The Mycobacterium tuberculosis antigen EsaT-6 (6 kDa early secretory antigen target EsxA ) causes induction of neutrophil necrosis. This protein acts as a leukocidin, which may facilitate bacterial avoidance of the antimicrobial action of the immune system.
