3D Bioprinters

An ever-present challenge in biomedical research is the need to investigate cells and tissues in their natural three-dimensional environments. In drug discovery and development, cellular processes such as cell adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation, must be observed under conditions that accurately mimic the natural topology of various tissues and organs. Bioprinters are precise instruments that carry out high-throughput, reproducible fabrication of various biomaterials in three dimensions. 3D bioprinting generally combines bio-compatible materials, sometimes called bioink, and carefully dispenses them layer by layer following a digital design. As each bioprinter will serve a unique application, visit the supplier page for more details.
