Amin Abedini, M.D.
Postdoctoral Fellow, Lab of Dr. Katalin Susztak, Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania
Amin Abedini is a postdoctoral fellow in a translational research lab (SusztaK Lab) under the supervision of Prof. Katalin Susztak. He received his M.D. from Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, Iran. In Susztak Lab, he studies the genes and pathways play role in chronic kidney disease using multi-omics approaches including
single cell and nuclei RNA-sequencing, single nuclei ATAC-sequencing, and spatial transcriptomics. He works on generating single-cell and nuclear RNA-seq and ATAC-seq data as well as spatial transcriptomics data for human kidney samples. By using the bioinformatics tools, he generated the spatially resolved human kidney atlas, which helps to understand the mechanisms and genes involved in chronic kidney disease.
