T cell activation is an essential initial step of the targeted immune response in which they play. Activation of T cells causes increased cell proliferation and formation of cell aggregates, which can be tracked using label-free imaging and analysis. In this application note, T cell activation rates in the presence of antibodies and an engineered cytokine IL-2 (general activation), in addition to with and without the presence of target cell spheroids (directed activation), was quantified over time.
