T-cells play central roles in cell-mediated and humoral immunity. Several different subsets of T-cells have been discovered, each with distinct functions. Each subset has a characteristic cytokine signature that can be measured at the single-cell level using multicolor flow cytometry, combining surface phenotyping and intracellular staining of cytokines, transcription factors, or signaling molecules. This illustrated poster highlights each of the T-cell subsets, details their process for differentiation, and notes the surface markers for each.
