Robust Results for scRNA-seq from Matched FFPE and Freshly Fixed Samples

Formalin-fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue blocks are commonly generated and frequently used for long-term tissue storage. While these archived samples hold great potential for future transcriptomic studies, formalin fixation degrades RNA, which causes challenges for many downstream profiling methods. The Chromium Single Cell Gene Expression Flex, a probe-based assay for whole transcriptome expression, enables high-resolution transcriptional profiling for archived sample types, allowing researchers to perform large-scale retrospective studies and achieve deeper characterization of clinical specimens.
