LYPLA2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein lysophospholipase 2, which is encoded by the LYPLA2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to act as a acyl-protein thioesterase hydrolyzing fatty acids from S-acylated cysteine residues in proteins such as trimeric G alpha proteins, GAP43, ZDHHC6 or HRAS. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 231 residues, a mass of 24.7 kDa, and is a member of the AB hydrolase 2 protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasm and is reported to be expressed in various breast cancer cell lines. Other alias names for this target include APT2, DJ886K2.4, acyl-protein thioesterase 2, LPL-II, lysoPLA II, and APT-2.
