ZFP-91 is an alias of the human ZFP91 gene, which encodes the protein, ZFP91 zinc finger protein, atypical E3 ubiquitin ligase. Notably, ZFP-91 is known to play a role in the regulation of transcription, among other functions. The ZFP91 protein is 570 amino acid residues in length and 63.4 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 2 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is noted to be expressed ubiquitously, particularly at high level in testis.
