GALNT18 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 18, which is encoded by the GALNT18 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to catalyze the initial reaction in O-linked oligosaccharide biosynthesis, the transfer of an N-acetyl-D-galactosamine (GalNAc) residue from UDP-GalNAc to a serine or threonine residue on the protein receptor. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 607 residues, a mass of 69.6 kDa, and is a member of the Glycosyltransferase 2 protein family. It is known to be localized in the golgi. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include UDP-GalNAc:polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase-like protein 4, UDP-N-acetyl-alpha-D-galactosamine:polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 15, and GalNAc-transferase 18.
The detection range for different GALNT18 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
