It has been mentioned that AAG3 plays a role in mRNA processing and RNA splicing, among other functions. Structurally, the SRSF7 protein is 238 amino acid residues in length and 27.4 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 4 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. This protein is known to be phosphorylated. Other names for this target antigen include 9G8 and SFRS7.
