These LPA2 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of LPA2 in biological samples. LPA2 is an alias of the human LPAR2 gene, which encodes the protein, lysophosphatidic acid receptor 2. Notably, LPA2 is known to play a role in GPCR signaling pathways and the regulation of intracellular calcium, among other functions. The LPAR2 protein is described to be 348 amino acid residues in length and 38.7 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is noted to be expressed most abundantly in testes and peripheral blood leukocytes with less expression in pancreas, spleen, thymus and prostate. This protein is known to be glycosylated. Other names for this target antigen include EDG-4, EDG4, and LPA-2.
