The BTS ELISA kits listed below are analytical tools for measuring concentrations of BTS in various samples. BTS is an alternative name for the human CLN3 gene, which encodes the protein, CLN3 lysosomal/endosomal transmembrane protein, battenin. It has been mentioned that BTS plays a role in cytoskeleton organization, among other functions. Structurally, the CLN3 protein is 438 amino acid residues in length and 47.6 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 7 protein isoforms have been identified. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed in the cortical brain, pancreas, spleen, and testis with weaker expression in the peripheral nerve. This protein is known to be glycosylated and phosphorylated. Other names for this target antigen include BTN1 and JNCL.
Some BTS ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.312 ng/mL and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
