These BIRC4 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of BIRC4 in biological samples. BIRC4 is an alias of the human XIAP gene, which encodes the protein, X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis. Notably, BIRC4 is known to play a role in DNA damage pathways and the regulation of apoptosis, among other functions. The XIAP protein is described to be 497 amino acid residues in length and 56.7 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed in colonic crypts. This protein is known to be ubiquitinated. Other names for this target antigen include API3 and IAP-3.
