The HPA1 ELISA kits listed below are analytical tools for measuring concentrations of HPA1 in various samples. HPA1 is an alternative name for the human HPSE gene, which encodes the protein, heparanase. It has been mentioned that HPA1 plays a role in cell matrix adhesion and inflammatory response pathways, among other functions. Structurally, the HPSE protein is 543 amino acid residues in length and 61.1 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 4 protein isoforms have been identified. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus, lysosomes, membrane, and is secreted. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be highly expressed in placenta and spleen and weakly expressed in lymph node, thymus, peripheral blood leukocytes, bone marrow, endothelial cells, fetal liver and tumor tissues. This protein is known to be N-glycosylated and cleaved. Other names for this target antigen include HPA and HPA.
