These F-Spondin ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of F-Spondin in biological samples. F-Spondin is an alias of the human SPON1 gene, which encodes the protein, spondin 1. Notably, F-Spondin is known to play a role in cell adhesion, among other functions. The SPON1 protein is described to be 807 amino acid residues in length and 91 kilodaltons in mass. Its subcellular localization is in the extracellular matrix and is secreted. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported be highly expressed in the lung, lower expression in the brain, heart, kidney, liver and testis, and lowest expression in pancreas, skeletal muscle and ovary. This protein is known to be glycosylated. Other names for this target antigen include VSGP/F-spondin and spondin 1, (f-spondin) extracellular matrix protein.
