These Beta-adducin ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of Beta-adducin in biological samples. Beta-adducin is an alias of the human ADD2 gene, which encodes the protein, adducin 2. Notably, Beta-adducin is known to play a role in cytoskeleton organization and the assembly of protein complexes, among other functions. The ADD2 protein is 726 amino acid residues in length and 80.9 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 9 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the cell membrane and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is notably expressed in the brain, spleen, kidney cortex and medulla, and heart. Other names for this target antigen include ADDB and adducin 2 (beta).
The detection range for different Beta-adducin ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
